Founded in 2016 by Tom and Alison, Twisted Cat Brewery began as a passion project in their basement, cheered on by Nonie, their curious cat.

Their commitment to bold flavors and eco-friendly brewing quickly won fans, especially after they pivoted to canned brews during the 2020 pandemic.

Among their early supporters was 2010 Tour de France winner Andy Schleck, who later became a partner, helping to promote their vision and even brewing alongside them.

Internationally recognize by the World Beer Awards, Twisted Cat continues to thrive, especially with its gastropub, Kantin, where locally sourced dishes pair perfectly with their diverse craft beer lineup.
Joel Back
Brewer
With over 15 years of brewing experience, including a prestigious two-year Brewmaster program in Belgium, he has honed a deep expertise in crafting exceptional beers. In 2017, they founded Bare Brewing, a brewery renowned for its creativity and quality.
In 2019, Twisted Cat acquired Bare Brewing, forging a powerful partnership that united two of the region's leading craft breweries. This collaboration has been instrumental in expanding both brands’ reach and innovation within the craft beer industry.
Gabriel Boisante
Founder
Gabriel’s passion for retail hospitality began during his university years in Paris in the late 1990s. After completing a double major in Biochemistry and Business, he applied his diverse skill set across various fields, including interior design and management, to create impactful and innovative solutions in every project he undertakes. Beyond his professional pursuits, Gabriel is an active member of the Luxembourg City Council, contributing his expertise to the development of the local community. He is also a prominent public speaker and figurehead, regularly leading exclusive events that engage and inspire industry leaders and audiences alike.
Alison Adams

Qualified Psychologist | Craft Beer Enthusiast | Brew Testing Specialist.
Originally from Florida, USA—a state now home to over 270 breweries—Alison is a qualified psychologist with a deep passion for the craft beer industry. Since relocating to Europe in 2013, she has immersed herself in the world of beer, tasting over 600 unique craft brews in her quest to discover the perfect pint.Alison plays a pivotal role at Twisted Cat, contributing her expertise to the testing and development of new brews, ensuring each batch meets the highest standards of quality and innovation.
Ray & Thomas Hickey

Hospitality Entrepreneurs | Business Leaders | Industry InnovatorsOriginally from Dublin, Ireland, Ray and Thomas Hickey have been successful entrepreneurs in the hospitality industry since 1995. Over the years, they have built a reputation for excellence, with their establishments consistently ranking among the top in Luxembourg’s greater region for annual beer sales.Currently, they manage a diverse portfolio of 9 restaurants and bars, employing close to 300 full-time staff members. Their leadership has been instrumental in driving both operational success and exceptional customer experiences across their businesses.
Andy Schleck
Bicycle Racer & Brand Ambassador
Andy Schleck is a former professional road cyclist from Luxembourg, best known for winning the 2010 Tour de France. Born in 1985, he was regarded as one of the best climbers of his generation, Andy also won the young rider classification of the Tour de France three times (2008, 2009, 2010) and was known for his attacking style in the mountains. Beyond cycling, Andy Schleck is close friend of the Twisted Cat family, a fellow beer enthusiast who enjoys discovering and sharing good brews. Whether celebrating victories or enjoying a relaxed moment, A true beer lovers, Andy helping us keep our carbon footprint as neutral as possible and shares values of authenticity, passion & conviviality.
John Herke
Brewer
John Herke has been serving as the Global Commercial Director at an international engineering company for the past 25 years. He has focused on developing business across Asia, Europe, and the Americas in various industries, including Energy, Automotive, and Aerospace. John has strengthened strategic customer relationships, achieving above-average sales growth. He has a proven track record in strategic leadership, setting business strategies, and collaborating on M&A and development processes.
